Tina Mowrey graduated
from Brandeis University
with B.A. in
Psychology and an
elementary teaching
certificate. She
began her career as an
elementary teacher in a
Massachusetts public
school district where
she worked for four
years. She then
worked at the Alfred G.
Zanetti Public
Montessori School in
Springfield, MA and
became passionate about
the Montessori
philosophy. She
received her lower and
upper Montessori
elementary training from
The College of St.
Catherine while
beginning her Montessori
practices in the
classroom. Tina
spent four years as a
lower elementary teacher
and one year as an upper
elementary teacher
during her seven year
stay at Zanetti.
During that time, she
also earned her M.A. in
Education from The
College of St.
Catherine. She
also worked briefly in
Austin Independent
School District before
accepting the director's
position at Mariposa
Montessori School.
