Parker Dumas

Parker spent his childhood along the banks of the San Marcos river here in Texas. He later moved to Seoul, South Korea, with his family. Upon completing his Bachelor's in International Studies, he relocated to Austin in search of teaching opportunities. Parker's experience with international programs as a student is what majorly inspired him to devote himself to the Montessori philosophy as an educator.

Parker joined Mariposa in August of 2022, and he is excited to pursue his Master's in Education. Until then, he loves learning in the classroom from each and every one of his students. 

When Parker isn't in the classroom, he enjoys journaling, reading, and watching scary movies. He is currently learning Japanese and Korean, and would love to learn even more languages! He enjoys spending time with his partner, Salem, and their three cats: Hoshi, Yvie, and Mino.
